I am afraid to say, that the grass-roots concerns of people of colour when climbing the heights of power within the white establishment are commonly whitewashed from their mind.

It is particularly acute in the corridors of whitey, but also occurs in non-white societies too, although the influence of corporate whitey is always lurking around the corner. If you read the books by John Perkins and watched his interviews, you would have a stronger forsight as to why and how it happens.
